This speech was delivered in January 2007
by Dr. Stephen C. Jones, Superintendent of Schools as a report to the community regarding the school system's performance. This speech came at a time when funding was a critical need and directly addressed unspoken (and spoken) sentiments that all children (particularly poor, black children) could not be successful.
You also can listen to the prep version of this speech. At the conlcusion of the speechwriting process, I generally prepare a recording of the text for the speaker. This recording can be listened to as the executive travels or prepares to rehearse. The recording allows the intended speaker to hear the intended cadence, inflection and emphasis. This type of recording is extremely helpful in the executive speech coaching process. |
